Meet Alia and her sloth friend Daisy. They met when Alia when she was only 2 days old. They have been BFFs ever since.
It’s almost impossible to separate them.
They even wear matching head bands.
Owning odd animals is pretty normal for Julia and Jason Heckthorn. Before they had their baby Alia, they already owned a kangaroo, and an anteater, sugar gliders and a cat.
The Heckathron family has never had an issues with the two playing together.
The couple adopted the sloth before they knew they were pregnant. But they seem to enjoy doing the same activities.
Like napping.
“I believe that the events happened as God planned them. I guess he knew we could handle the work of two babies at the same time, and that it would great for the to grow up together,” she Julia.
“When Alia and Daisy sit next to each other, Daisy sniffs Alia while Alia nuzzles into Daisy’s soft fur. They are so sweet together.”
Julia does children’s illustration and incorporates her pets and daughter into her books. The books are mainly about teaching children about the importance of the environment.
